The impact of the Integral Conference in Hungary

In May 2016 Mark and I attended the IEC (Integral European Conference) in Hungary. Mark had become very interested in the topic “Ageing” which he combined with his interest in Integral Theory and Spiral Dynamics. He offered a talk on ageing at the conference where he led people through the stages of development and what this meant for getting older. It was his first public talk ever. It seemed as if he had been used to public presentations, I personally found it very well done and so did the audience. I just did some introduction and then he unfolded his talent.

Already in 2015 we did some interviews on the topic AGEING, as this one on “Growing older without Big Pharma” with Dr.Viviane Carlson, with a follow up on Depression – a topic which is increasingly important in our lockdown times.

After the conference the topic “Conscious Ageing” became ever more present in Mark’s mind, while we were still also concentrating on other topics, related to integral theory and practice.

We pursued an interesting topic with Cecile Green who offers a more holistic approach to running a business in elaboration and improvement of the better known “Holacracy”. At the conference we got to know Dr. Tom Habib who did his talk about relationships in our section. I recorded it and put it up on the Youtube channel. From there we did many sessions together at the Wisdom Factory. Tom became a regular presenter at several integral conferences and he gained a lot of followers. The idea of a series called CONSCIOUS AGEING was forming all along and finally started in November 2016. More in the next post.
